What Does AplPay Mean on My Statement?

AplPay in front of a merchant name means the purchase was made with Apple Pay on an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. American Express confirms the format: "AplPay" and the merchant's name appear on its US credit-card statements for every Apple Pay purchase (its debit and checking statements show the merchant name only).

The merchant after AplPay is who charged you. AplPay APPLE.COM/BILL is the one case where Apple itself charged you (a subscription or App Store purchase).
